Simple Dinner Ideas That Cook Fast

Simple dinners are great. It saves you time and energy that other meals take from you. When you are in a hurry or need food fast, there’s no need to go to a fancy restaurant or bake a pie. The simple dinners that I mentioned earlier are easy to make, quick, healthy, and delicious. There are many simple dinner ideas for you to try. Have fun with it and I’ll walk you through some of my favorites.

Use Leftover Bread

If you’re having leftovers that aren’t going to eat very quickly start out this simple dinner ideas with some leftover bread. You can buy a loaf of wholemeal bread, make some extra slices, and use them in other recipes. You don’t even have to go to the store to buy more bread. Just go to your grocery store and pick up some of the bread that is in the produce section. These bread slices can be used in chicken nuggets, fish bites, chili, and stew.

Another one of my favorite simple dinner ideas is making a beef stew. One thing about stew is that you can vary it up from one-dish recipes to multiple-dish recipes. You can do a roast beef that has been simmered with carrots and potatoes or you can create a stew with cauliflower, onions, and carrots. Carrot and onion roasted potatoes is one of my all-time favorites.

Taco Seasoning

I love taco seasoning and using it in my soups and stews. If you like Mexican food I’m sure you’ve had tacos. There are so many different types of tacos you can serve at your dinner table. The base of any taco is typically beans, along with steak, vegetables, and cheese. Other simple dinner ideas with tacos include; black bean tacos, caribe tacos, chimichanga tacos, and chimichanga quesadillas.

Another one of my all-time quick dinner ideas is a pasta meal. You can either make it from scratch or buy it already prepared. You can find pasta in a number of different flavors. If you are looking for a creamy pasta meal I suggest trying spaghetti squash, it has a nice thick texture and has a nice amount of cream in it.

Baked Potatoes

Baked potatoes are a very popular item on the diet menu. If you love baked potato there are many different recipes out there. Some of my favorites include; potato casserole, baked potato wedges, homemade cashew balls, and of course, home fries. If you are having a dinner party, I would recommend trying either a beer-based pasta sauce or lemon-based sauce. Either will add an awesome flavor to your meal.

If you are having leftovers for dinner, you should also be prepared with some quick and easy ways to make chicken nuggets. This is actually my go-to dish at our house. We typically have some sort of chicken meat, some veggies, and ground beef. The great thing about this dish is that you can do different things with it as you like. Here are just two of the choices:


Another way to incorporate these tomatoes into your stew is to puree them with onions, garlic, cumin, and turmeric. Simply add in vegetable broth to the mixture and then let simmer until the onions are soft. Then puree the onions with the rest of the ingredients until smooth and creamy. Add the frozen chopped vegetables to the stew and mix them in thoroughly. Serve with steamed green rice.
